I have been using Aloe Gator gel for a couple of years now. It is one of a very few that lasts many hours (about 6 hrs) and does not need to be re-applied after sweating or swimming. The FDA apparently forces companies to label sunblock as if it only lasts for something like 80 mins, so the the label can be misleading. I used to use Bullfrog original formula because it worked the same way (6 hrs), but the company went corporate and stopped selling that formula. And Aloe Gator is better - it doesn't get into your eyes and you don't have to wait 5 minutes before it's ready to use. And it doesn't stain clothing.
When I received the package from AGS it had been opened and the Post Office had put a tag on it that said "arrived damaged" and contained no product, only the invoice. I talked to one person at AGS who said she would look into it, but when I hadn't heard back for a couple of days I called again and that person said this had come up before. I said I needed it before the weekend, and they got it right into the mail and it arrived in plenty of time. Excellent service!

Quiet Flight surf shop turned me on to AGS Gel some 10 years ago. It is hands down the best stuff for your face when out in the hot sun.

I use Aloe Gator when surfing, and the main selling point for me is that it doesn't burn your eyes. When surfing I inevitably rub my eyes and any other sunscreen I have used burns my eyes, but Aloe Gator does not. It also stays on and works in the water for at least three hours or more of surfing. One thing I noticed, in the winter, if the temperature goes below 45 or so, Aloe Gator gets hard and you can't really get it out of the tube. So if you plan on using it in cold weather surfing you would have to warm it up some how. Maybe not designed for cold weather.

This and Doctor Martin's are the best sunscreens out there. Dr Martin's is best in colder weather, but if it is above 80 degrees, Aloe Gator is the best I have tried. Fishing, surfing, paddleboarding, swimming; unless you towel off aggressively or use soap and water, no need to re-apply for 6 hours, and doesn't stain rashguards or light colored trunks.

I have been using Gator Products for many many years (pretty much since it began being manufactured, in Maimi. I'm 52 yrs old, fair skined, blue eyed blonde that meets all of the 10 risks for skin cancer. Blistering burn ...........yeah more times then I can count. As a sailor, fisherman and Marine Biologist I spend most days on the water (and have all my life). This product is by far the best! While for me, the Aloe Gator is the best and I love it! For the kids this is the best! As the Auntie of more then a few toe headed types,I have made it my mission to get folks, in particular parents to used sunblock. Additionally I placed an order to my fishing guide(Actually for his fair haired baby burner, hopefully not like my childhood) down at Bud and Mary's in Islamorada. Had a problem with the shipping but wasn't a problem because they quickly addressed the issue. Thanks Simon.

I have been in the sun and surf ALL my life.
Growing up in Florida and making my living on the seas I know sunscreens. Aloe Gator is the only one that lasts. Many days on the ocean are 12 plus hour days and between the fishing and diving I never have to apply the Aloe Gator more than twice. It only washes off with soap and water. If you have kids Aloe Gator is the best protection out there. User for close to ten years.
